Who is Deepak?Deepak Prasad Dhamala was born in a village in Nepal called Jyamrung in the Dhading district between Kathmandu and Pokhara. After completing his Higher School matriculation, Deepak went on to complete a Bachelors degree in Humanities, Social Science and Law. He continues to work as a trekking guide due to his love of building friendships with people from all around the world that he has the opportunity to trek with. Deepak is married to Kalpana. They have a beautiful daughter called Hannah who is 9 months old. Deepak is fluent in a number of languages including English, Hindi and Nepali. He is extremely knowledgeable about, and enjoys discussing many topics. He is a great source of information about Nepal including its politics, culture, religion and people. He holds a current, official trekking guide license from the Nepal tourism board. Most importantly, Deepak has a great sense of humor. He is always great fun to be around. He will constantly amaze you with tricks and jokes that help to while away the sometimes long evenings at the end of a trekking day. |
